Seven Divine powers

The Seven Divine Powers:


The Divine Seven are the powers that were initially held by the Seven Archons that created the Diamond Realm. They are the powers of the Spirit and are separate from the four Natural Elements. These were already possessed by the Archons during the time of Creation and were given to Sophia for her to become the Sealing Maiden and Seal the Aeons away from the Diamond Realm.

Yaldabaoth's power allowed for great strength and physicality (Barrier),
Iao's power was the power of mind and sight (Clairvoyance),
Sabaoth's power was for energy and force (Destruct),
Astaphaios' power was manipulation and changing of matter (Construct),
Adonaios' was the power of growth (Panacea),
Horaios would alter and halt growth (Seal), and
Elaios' power was that of movement and space (Shifting)

  • Barrier: This power grants the user invulnerability to all physical harm. Skin cannot be cut and bones cannot be broken. In addition to this, the invulnerability allows for slightly increased strength as their bones and joints are unbreakable. However, the limits to this power are many. The user is still suceptible to the necessities of Life. They must eat, they must breathe and they can still become ill or succumb to disease. The weakness of this power is that the user will slowly be overtaken by invulnerabilty and be turned completely to immovable diamond. Barrier and the sub powers of this category are mainly innate in that they are not used as functional skills but are rather a part of the user's physiology and always active.

  • Clairvoyance: This power grants the user the ability of very brief foresight into the future. This can range anywhere between a few seconds to years. It is also capable of seeing into the past experiences of individual through sensory contact. The ability of foresight involves a brief glimpse of an event through a vision. The vision is experienced as if it were a memory that they had not actually witnessed. This vision is seen through the eyes of those that will witness it so it is not always clear who it involves or when it will take place. Visions of immediate events can be used to give the clairvoyant split second reaction times. The first limit of foresight is that visions are very brief and often unclear. Glimpses into the past involve sensory contact where a memory is experienced through the eyes of another. Although this process is not as brief as foresight, it cannot be used for long periods of time. It will begin to cause great pain in the mind of the user if a memory is experienced for prolonged periods. This is another limit of Clairvoyancy as the longer the vision of the past is seen, the greater the pain the user will experience. The weakness of it is that the power eventually begins to interfere with memories of the user. Thusly, as the Clairvoyant remembers the past, that too will become less clear and painful. The Clairvoyant is capable of having visions in their sleep without pain but they are much more opaque and harder to decipher. The sub powers of this category deal with mental skills though a few are also innate powers.

  • Destruct: The Destruct power is the ability to unleash energy through the body into a blast of powerful force. This power is capable of rending matter and breaking it apart with the energy of the user which is channeled through the arms and unleashed from the hands as a white light. The light has the strength to tear apart all physical material with the explosive blast. The limits are that successive blasts will temporarily weaken the user with continual usage wearing down their strength over time. The Destructive blasts of light can also only be channeled through the arms. In addition to this, the power renders the user with a unique illness that will ultimately destroy them from within. The illness is mildly contagious as well with the few that do become infected, displaying white dots around their eyes as symptoms. Destruct is the most powerful ability of the Archons in that it is capable of destroying even Yaldabaoth who cannot be harmed and Adonaios who can regenerate perfectly. The sub powers of this class deal with force and energy as well as causing physical disruption. Consume is the lowest tier sub power that is capable of completely removing a power from a Champion and taking it for themselves.

  • Construct: The Construct power is the antithesis to Destruct in that it is capable of assembling matter and manipulating its shape. It can redistribute or completely alter the chemical makeup of matter as well. The power uses existing materials to build and form a shape without having to physically manipulate the materials by hand or other means. In essence it is capable of constructing anything using existing materials as a base to change matter into any other form. It can assemble them even out of thin air, however, the Constructor must be on the ground to use the power. The power is limited in that it can only manipulate matter that has been touched by the user, it cannot be used from a distance. The weakness of Construct is that it begins to weaken the user's dexterity and will begin to break down the functions of their hands. This eventually makes it very difficult to build things without the aid of the Construct power. The sub powers of Construct are related to matter manipulation. Absorb is the lowest tier sub power that can temporarily copy the power of another and be used as their own while in the vicinity of the power.

  • Panacea: Panacea is the power of healing that allows the user to perfectly recover from any wound at an exponential rate. The speed of recovery depends on severity and could last from several seconds to several hours. Because of this, the user of Panacea is also capable of withstanding harsh temperature as well as exhibiting prolonged stamina but does not, however, possess any unnatural strength. In addition, it is also capable of healing others by absorbing the wound or illness unto themselves and then rapidly recovering from it. As it is, there are still limits to this power as well. While healing others absorbs the wound, it will also cause the user of the power to feel much greater pain than normal through the rapid recovery. In addition, if absorbing an illness, the symptoms will be felt much more severely as the illness subsides in the body. Though Champions in that posess Panacea are still mortal, the power grants unnaturally long life as well. This is determined to also be the weakness of the power. Although Panacea grants what many see as everlasting Life, something most Aeons had always longed for, those that possess it inevitably see it for the curse that it is. They will outlive and outlast all those they care about and are doomed to wander Life alone, unable to be sent back to the Womb Realm. Panacea only has one sub powers associated with it, the power of Resonance. The Archon Adonaios was the embodiment of growth and as such, the Resonance power augments other powers, making them stronger.

  • Seal: The antithesis of Panacea. The Seal power is capable of slowing and completely stopping the functions of the body and mind with a touch. Essentially, it is capable of temporarily weakening others physically or mentally. On humans, it is capable of shutting down functions of the body, rendering them unconcious or temporarily disabling a limb. Champions are immune to this aspect of Seal. On Champions, the Seal power speeds up the weakness of their powers potentially making them unable to be used. It does not completely inhibit other powers, only making so that other powers are more difficult to use, causing the side effects from use to be more detrimental. Humans are immune to this aspect of Seal as they have no powers. For Seal to be effective, the user must distinguish the target as a human or Champion. The weakness of Seal causes the user to become dizzy, lose consciousness or succumb to seizures should they continue to use it. The Seal power comes from the Archon Horaios who was associated with decay and the halting of growth. The only sub power associated with Seal is called Repel which completely negates powers within a certain area.

  • Shift: The Shift power teleports any object, living or otherwise from one place to another. The power is capable of moving living beings as well as themselves in a given space without having to traverse that space. The object to be shifted needs to be physically touched to move it to another unoccupied space. No distance is traversed when Shifting but the user is placed into another location entirely by spacial bending. The user sees a distorted reality with the determined destination appearing around the point of origin. This bending of space happens instantaneously and shifts the user to the other location. It is capable of teleporting another person or object but is even further limited by distance. This is the limit of Shifting in that the destination space must be unoccupied and within line of sight. The weakness of this power is that Shifting between space begins to affect the user's eyesight and will eventually blind them, making them unable to use the power effectively. The sub powers of the Shift power relate to movement and space. Bestow is the lowest tier sub power that temporarily grants a power to another or transfer powers between persons. Bestow is unique in that it can be accompanied by another power.
