anahita
Return to Life
Upon her return to Life, Anahita finds herself in a desert and wanders away from the Pure Shrine that brought her there. She now has dark red hair where she used to have light red hair. She clutches her naked body and begins to laugh while tears pour from her face. Sensation returns to her, something she has not experienced for a long time.
Eventually, she comes across a Convent that is inhabited by nuns. The highest nun, the Schema, greets her as a friend. She informs the other nuns that this woman with red hair is a Demon but should not be feared. It is not her fault that she is what she is and needs to be helped not condemned. The other nuns follow suit and accept that she is a Demon that needs to be cleansed. Anahita has become weak, as Demons are not able to maintain their form without a vessel and are destroyed outright in the sun. The Schema and the nuns begin to perform holy rites and exorcisms on Anahita. Her body is at first resistant to the rituals and she begins to feel sensations of pain in her body, another feeling she has not experienced for a long time. The holy rites strengthen her form and her Demonic body becomes able to sustain itself. She no longer needs a vessel and is not susceptible to sunlight.
When she awakes Anahita finds that some of her memories have faded or become distorted slightly. The nuns tell her that her memories will return in time. The Schema then reveals herself to be a Demon as well. This Jade colored Demon had possessed the Schema who was on the verge of death several days prior. The Jade Demon remembers Anahita from Hell and reveres her as the one who led her to the Gate. She is the one who showed the Demons the way to return to Life. Anahita vows to never return to the Afterlife and will attempt to find a way to stop people from dying by ending the Cycle of Life called Samsara. Anahita stays at the convent to study and search for a way to grant immortality to the Living. It is here that she discovers the Sealing Rite that she remembers from the Akashic Record. It details the story of Sophia and how she became the Sealing Maiden.
Anahita intends to end Samsara, the Cycle of Life, and stop people from dying. This can be done if she were to become the Sealing Maiden and destroy the Ouroboros Gate, which holds Eternity. She will need the powers of the Archons, who the nuns call Fravashi, in order to become the Sealing Maiden. The Archons gave their powers to Sophia so that she could Construct the Ouroboros Gate. They then sealed themselves into Pure Shrines. Anahita must obtain these powers to stop Samsara despite knowing that she will have to sacrifice all of Eternity to do so.
After a several years of study a man comes to the convent asking for Anahita. He is overjoyed that he has found her and he embraces her warmly. She is comforted by the feeling but admits that she does not know who he is. He is visibly hurt by this but says that his name is Simon Perish and that he used to be her loyal servant. He tells her that her name is Anahita and that she was the ruler of many nations. He has restored her Life to help her reclaim her throne. She accepts this immediately and now recalls that they were once lovers but she opts to keep this from him.
To Destroy Samsara
She sees the opportunity to accomplish her goals with Perish's help. The two leave the convent and head north toward the Farsee people who helped Simon return Anahita to Life. It happens that many of the Farsee are also red haired like her. They reach the Farsee region called Hatam on the way north to be greeted with great adoration by the people there. Anahita finds that they believe her to be the Ahura Mazda who will bring about the renovation of the world and grant them immortal Life. She is worshipped by the Farsee as a figure that will liberate them from Death. She is astonished that these people knew of her true intentions and assures them that she will do as prophesized. To accomplish this, Anahita informs Simon Perish that she will need to possess the powers of the Sealing Maiden. The Farsee priest then gives her a gift to begin her quest. He Bestows the power of Telekinesis to her, to levitate and move objects without touch. She is quick to learn how to utilize the power.
She tells Simon that she will obtain the powers of the Archons to become the Sealing Maiden by finding and collecting the Seven Divine Powers. She does not tell him that she intends to destroy the Afterlife to end Samsara. Simon has already begun to replicate his research on Empowered Artifacts to grant powers to others but he has imperative notes in what used to be Meridian. They opt to make their way to the Eastern Nations where Meridian is located. Many Farsee wish to accompany her on her quest to liberate humanity and join in her travels. After a time, they begin to head to the Eastern Provinces toward their first conquest.
REConstructing the Empire
Upon reaching the Eastern Nation of Rathsambahva, Anahita's group comes upon a small village that is being attacked. Simon and Anahita investigate and drive out the attackers that were terrorizing the village. Anahita uses her power of Telekinesis to save a young blonde girl from an attacker, killing him. The village is nearly in ruin, burned to the ground by a group that work for the King. The King of Shrimat has been attacking villages if they cannot afford the tax. They find that he has become very powerful and it is said that he can create anything from thin air.
The blonde girl is named Amaris and she takes to Anahita quickly. She has become fascinated by Anahita for saving her and is interested in her power of Telekinesis. After clutching onto Anahita, the little girl finds that she can now levitate objects. Anahita then realizes that she has now lost the ability altogether. Simon Perish posits that Amaris stole the Telekinesis power from Anahita. The little girl can steal the powers of others with a touch and take them for herself. She is also capable of relinquishing the powers at will and returns the Telekinesis power to Anahita by kissing her cheek. Amaris has just the power that Anahita will need to begin to become the Sealing Maiden. Simon attempts to discourage Anahita from using the girl to take the King's power. He believes that they can form a plan to usurp the King and he can create an Artifact with his power for her. Anahita at first agrees and assures him that she only intends to meet with the King about the attacks on the village. Amaris refuses to leave Anahita's side and wishes to accompany them. Simon, and Anahita go to confront the King while the Farsee will remain and help rebuild. The three then head toward the capital of Shrimat.
They arrive and Simon requests an audience with the King, pretending that they are from the village. They are taken for an audience with the King who had come to power some time ago. They are brought to the Throne room which is full of sand with statues near the center. He remembers overthrowing the previous King who answered to an Empress by the name of Anahita. Rathsambahva was previously part of Anahita's Mashyana Empire and it is common knowledge that the Empress was assassinated sometime ago by Veiland. Anahita however, announces her return as the rightful ruler of Rathsambahva. The King believes that she cannot possibly be the same person. Anahita wishes to liberate the surrounding villages from attacks by the King. She first states that the girl with them was nearly killed and that he has overstepped his authority. He will step down and relinquish his authority to her. The King believes himself invincible because of his mastery of his Construct power and wonders what makes Anahita believe that she can overthrow him. She then demonstrates that she has the power of Telekinesis and surrounds him with spears. She states that she could kill him but she wishes for him to remove himself peacefully and serve her. He is undaunted and he manipulates the statues and seizes Anahita and Simon.
The King is confident he has the upper hand and motions for Amaris to come to him. She takes his hand and the King apologizes to her but tells Anahita that her intentions were noble but villages that cannot pay the taxes must be punished. The girl kisses the Kings hand. Anahita then calmly asks if Amaris will release them. The young girl uses her newly acquired power of Construct to dismantle the statues and they fall to the ground, releasing Anahita and Simon. The King is stunned and tries to move the statues but finds that he has lost his power and yells for his guards to seize them. Amaris takes the power to Anahita and hugs her as the guards close in on them. Anahita now has the Construct power and creates a wall from the marble, blocking arrows that are shot at them. She then creates statues that seize the guards and the King. She states that the King had his chance to be compliant and uses her power of Telekinesis to control the spears once again. She then kills him with the spears.
