EQUINOX

This is the start of the time jump where around 8 years will pass starting when John becomes the High Champion and establishes the Eliptics. While they were gathering Champions and cultivating an Alliance in the West, Simon and Anahita begin to reestablish her Empire in the East by searching for the Seven Divine Powers. Ardashir, meanwhile, had gone on adventures of his own and at this time and was coming into the idea of creating a Nullifying Artifact to destroy Anahita. He is the only one who knows her true intentions to destroy the Afterlife.

FORMING THE CHAMPION COALITION

After locating all of the Champions in Valentinia, 34 in total, the King suggests that they recruit other High Champions to strengthen this Alliance. The group begins traveling to the 3 neighboring Kingdoms of the West to recruit The High Champions.
Over the course of 8 years, the trio consisting of John, Aletheia and Sam, will begin to expand. By traveling to other nations, they begin to established an alliance with the 3 other Western Nations of Isidore, Aedesia, and Ennoia. Ennoia was previously the seat of the Empress of Gules before her death. It was known as Sigea back then before it became Ennoia.
These other three kingdoms each had their own High Champions in the same way that Valentinia has. The High Champion of Ennoia had the power of Shifting. He was known as the Ennoian Catapult, named William Fendrel. The High Champion of Isidore had the power of Telekinesis while the High Champion of Aedesia could manipulate Wind. These Champions became part of Valentinia's alliance that became known as the Champion Coalition. The Coalition became centered around John Noble's leadership who, despite not having powers, was still well regarded among them. The High Champions from these nations made up the leaders of the Champion Coalition with some even recruiting in their own nations.

THE MOON PALACE

Initially, the cataloging of Champions yielded genuinely good people with only a few that used their powers for personal gain. The general populace did not completely understand Champions but their respect for them began first from the High Champions and this was further developed by Champion Coalition. At first, some Champions that the Ecliptics discovered were amiable to John's plight. This was especially true considering his position as the Noble Champion of Valentinia. He became an often exaggerated figure, the Hero of Valentinia that defeated the Invincible Black Jester.
After Donofrey the Black Jester was defeated, he was taken to the Moon Palace. A mausoleum that happened to inhibit the powers of Champions. The inner sanctum of the palace held a large tower and the Jester was imprisoned in this chamber. The Chamber was called the Crystal Chamber. It consisted of a room with a cell and a large pool of water. Donofrey's cell hung over the pool, taking advantage of his only weakness as further insurance to keep him from escaping.
The Palace was at one point a type of mausoleum for a long forgotten king. The Palace was used by scholars including those from the Order of Terra. It is where John was sent to study for part of his youth but was also known to Sam who had been a scholar before becoming the Alchemist of Selene. Sam was one of the first to suggest this be the place to hold Donofrey and eventually the other dangerous Champions.
Though many Champions were hesitant to be sought out, most were willing to offer what information on their powers that they could after their trust was earned. Champions that were initially reluctant, came around when they were helped in some way. Eventually, the Ecliptics had to deal with Champions that used their powers for malicious purposes. These Champions that were particularly dangerous criminals and murderers were arrested and imprisoned. They became known as the Rogues Gallery, who used their powers for villainy.

THE ROGUES GALLERY

During the course of this 8 years, The Ecliptics imprison 4 extremely dangerous Champions who had demonstrated a propensity for violence. The first was Donofrey, who had the power of Barrier and was invulnerable. He caused the deaths and injuries of many during his Siege on Selene. His arm and part of his face was now completely diamond, however. Three other criminals were murderers that were defeated and arrested at various other times.
The Ghost of Ennoia was a killer that could bend light around him and fade into the shadows to become nearly invisible. The other was a terrorist known as The Warlock, capable of creating and manipulating flames. The last, known as the Eldritch Man was a murderer that could stun or completely kill people with a touch. With help from William Fendrel of Ennoia, these 4 killers were imprisoned at the Moon Palace, where powers were rendered inert. The all of these Rogues became known as The Rogues Gallery. (see The Rogues Gallery)
The Moon Palace itself was a mausoleum that is located directly south of Ennoia. It was once used by scholars and scribes before it was forgotten long ago. In it was a central tower that was hollow, with a large space in the center. Rooms surrounded the outer wall of the tower. After the Palace was converted into a de facto prison, these rooms were converted to cells that held the Rogues Gallery. Soldiers from Valentinia and Ennoia were selected to be the guards at this Palace which became the official prison for The Rogues. Ardashir stays here for several years after he finds that there is an abundance of Silver in the architecture which he discovers is part of the reason that it inhibits powers.

THE MENAGERIE

Neither Simon nor Anahita knew of this prison that housed Champions by the time she reaches Ennoia. She had however, developed her own prison that housed Champions that she considered useful but were opposed to her. This prison was called the Menagerie and was located in Amitabha. Anahita had begun to collect and imprison all Champions that she came across in the East. There were some Champions that joined her but those that didn't were imprisoned. The Queen of Cascades pledged her loyalty to Anahita rather than be deposed and she would overlook the Menagerie for the Empress.
After Anahita reaches Ennoia and attempts to overthrow the king their, she is approached by a woman named Titania. Titania reveals the weakness of the Champion of Ennoia so that Anahita can defeat him in single combat before taking the city. Though Simon insists that he can defeat the Champion of Ennoia, Anahita believes that she can do it herself. Titania assisted in Anahita's takeover of Ennoia by revealing the weakness of William Fendrel whom Anahita defeats herself. With Ennoia's Champion defeated, and Anahita's own forces being considerable, the capital city is quickly occupied. Titania is actually Velu in a new form. She still bears the scar that Aletheia had given her years ago when he was Velu. She acts quickly into manipulating Anahita by implementing a plan that will grant her revenge on Valentinia.
